Soon brekathrough in Ulriken

On Tuesday the 29th of August Ulrikke will see daylight on the Bergen side of the new railway tunnel between Arna and Bergen.

When we were visiting Wednesday morning, there were only 110 meter rock left before breaking through on the Bergen side of the tunnel. It is an impressive machinery that has drilled through Ulriken. The TBM is 152 meter long and has devices for bolting, grouting and spraying concrete. The TBM’s diameter is 9.3 meter.

Thanks to  Guro Isachsen and Kåre Bjørn Solhaug for good guiding!

Her er modellen av hele maskineriet, veldig grei for å vise alt som foregår i det 152 meter lange toget

Det blir en annen standard på togene som skal gå i rute når tunnelen åpner for trafikk
